Worth every penny for a lakefront site
Quiet, spotless, and the lakefront sites are worth every penny. Wayne came out on a golf cart to help us level the trailer without being asked.

We are a working campground, not a resort chain. The sites are level, the water is hot, and somebody who knows the answer picks up the phone.
Half a mile of private shoreline, a boat launch you will not queue for, and the kind of quiet that makes people book the same week every year.

All 86 sites have full hookups, and 46 of them carry 50-amp service. The park also has a heated pool, a private boat launch, a fenced dog park, a camp store and a modern bathhouse.

Great hiking base, showers are excellent
Twenty minutes to the Long Trail and the bathhouse is cleaner than most hotels. Only note is the Wi-Fi slows down after about 8pm.

Third season in a row
The new bathhouse is a real upgrade and the fenced dog park is a lifesaver with two huskies. We book the same week every August.

Easy big-rig access
Pulled in with a 41-foot fifth wheel and had no trouble at all. Pull-throughs are genuinely level and the 50A service held up in the heat.

Rates run $29 to $129 per night for two adults. Rustic tent sites start at $29 off-peak, standard RV sites are $46 to $52, lakefront full-hookup sites are $84 to $96, and camping cabins are $112 to $129. Vermont meals and rooms tax applies to all stays.
Do you have full hookups and 50-amp service?
Yes. Forty-six of our 86 sites have 50-amp service with full water, sewer and electric. The remaining standard sites are 30-amp with full hookups. Premium pull-throughs accommodate rigs up to 45 feet.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome at no extra charge, with a limit of two per site. We have a fenced off-leash dog park near the bathhouse. Dogs must be leashed elsewhere in the park and cannot be left unattended at a site.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The office is open 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily during the season. Late arrivals can self-register at the kiosk beside the office door.
When are you open?
Sunset Ridge is open May 1 through October 15 each year. Cabins are heated and available for the full season. Reservations for the following season open on November 1.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations 7 or more days before arrival are refunded in full, less a $15 processing fee. Inside 7 days, the first night is non-refundable. Holiday weekends require 14 days notice.
How far is Sunset Ridge from Burlington?
We are 28 miles south of Burlington, about a 40-minute drive on Route 7. Middlebury is 12 miles south, and the Long Trail trailhead at Lincoln Gap is a 20-minute drive east.
Is there Wi-Fi and cell service?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi covers all 86 sites, though speeds slow between about 7 and 10 PM when the park is full. Verizon and AT&T both have strong LTE coverage here; T-Mobile is weaker on the lakefront loop.
